Her Excellency Michaëlle Jean sent written 75^th Anniversary greetings to CSLA that were read at the 2009 Congress opening.  The Governor General wrote: 

Canadian landscape architects have succeeded in their field, standing on equal footing with their international counterparts as they strive not only for a physical expression of function and form, but also for an experience rooted in aestheticism and grace.
